What a good day today is! :) I took my first step to adopt from Ukraine in May 2005. After updating my dossier 3 times - or was that 4!? - waiting out the Ukraine adoption closure, my dossier was accepted by the SDA 5/21/07. Exactly 6 weeks and three days later, July 5th, 2007, I received an e-mail from my translator that I have an appointment! September 20, 2007 will find me at the SDA in Kiev, Ukraine. It is hard to believe the time has come. I have shared the news but am just letting it all soak in this evening. SO much to do! I still don't have anyone who can travel with me. I need to buy tickets, find someone to house/pet sit, learn Russian, etc...etc....

Yahoo...way to go, girl! You have worked so hard and are very deserving of this exciting opportunity. I can't think of anyone that would make a better single mom than you.
I can't wait to become an "auntie" from Montana.
